Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born August 19 1965 was an American actress. She also works as a producer and director. She is best known for playing the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. Following the seventh season Sedgwick won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended on August 13th on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian, with English origin. Sedgwick has identified herself as Jewish and has said she attends Passover seders.
